The orientation is designed for new graduate RNs who are looking for an entry-level nursing position.  Shifts will vary and may change based on assignment. 

 

All new graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in a one year Nurse Residency Program that is designed to support the transition from academia to professional nursing practice.  The program focus is on nursing leadership, quality outcomes, and the professional role.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Bridgeport Hospital is hiring for New Graduate Registered Nurses in various areas of the hospital to start in Spring 2027.

 

Shifts are assigned based on the needs of the hiring unit.  

 

To qualify, candidates must have an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or January 2027.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. All newly hired Registered Nurses must have current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.

 

LICENSURE:  CT State RN License eligible
