Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced Registered Nurse with at least 1 full year of post-graduation NICU experience, preferably in a Level IV NICU environment.
Critical requirement: Candidates without actual post-graduation NICU RN experience will not be considered. Nursing school clinical rotations and residency programs do not count toward the required NICU experience.
Client is seeking experienced NICU Registered Nurses to join its Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
The RN provides specialized nursing care to neonatal patients while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. The position requires strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, evidence-based practice, and the ability to support patients and families in a complex neonatal care environment.
This is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week position working 12-hour night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing Practice & Patient Care
Assess patients and identify appropriate nursing diagnoses.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Coordinate care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions appropriately.
Maintain required clinical competencies for the NICU population.
Practice within the scope of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and applicable nursing standards.
Patient & Family Advocacy
Advocate for ethical, holistic, and patient-centered care.
Promote patient and family autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs.
Partner with patients and families in care planning and decision-making.

Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
Minimum 1 year of post-graduation NICU RN experience.
Washington Registered Nurse License – required upon hire.
BLS – American Heart Association – required upon hire.
NRP – American Academy of Pediatrics – required upon hire.
NICU Experience Requirement
Hard Requirement:
At least 1 full year of NICU experience as a Registered Nurse.
Experience must be obtained after graduation from a nursing program.
Clinical rotations do not count.
Nursing residency programs do not count.
Candidates without NICU experience will not be considered.
Preferred Candidate Profile
