RN NICU

Job Title: RN NICU
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week, 36 hours/week

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to NICU patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex.
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients.
• Monitor physiological data and patient responses; intervene as needed.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Document patient responses, nursing interventions, and changes in physician orders.
• Deliver competent patient care and communicate the care plan with patients and families.
• Educate patients and families regarding hospital procedures and discharge needs.
• Make appropriate referrals based on patient care needs.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with healthcare team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Level IV NICU experience required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Oklahoma RN license or current Multistate Compact RN license.
• BLS (American Heart Association).
• NRP (American Heart Association).
