Assignment Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours

• Guaranteed Hours:36 hours/week

• Pay:$64–$66/hour

• Estimated Weekly Pay:$2,304–$2,376/week

• Contract: 13 weeks

• Local Radius: Traveler must live 100+ miles from Children's Hospital

• Temp-to-Perm: Not applicable — Traveler Only

NICU / Clinical Details

• High-acuity Level IV NICU environment

• Strong preference for nurses with Level IV NICU experience

• Experience caring for high-acuity surgical NICU patients

• Tracheostomy experience required

• Must be comfortable floating to other pediatric critical-care units

• Travelers with standalone children's hospital experience are strongly preferred due to the need for cross-unit flexibility

• Potential float areas may include:

  • NICU

  • PICU

  • Pediatric units/ICUs

  • Other critical-care areas as assigned

Traveler Expectations

• Must have recent experience caring for high-acuity NICU patients

• Travelers should be prepared to discuss the acuity level and patient population they managed on previous travel assignments.

• Preference for travelers who have routinely cared for ventilated/high-acuity patients, rather than assignments limited to lower-acuity NICU populations.

• Must be comfortable floating outside the NICU when required.

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Strong NICU experience

• Level IV NICU experience preferred

• Experience with high-acuity/surgical NICU patients

• Tracheostomy experience

• Comfort caring for ventilated/high-acuity patients

• Ability and willingness to float to other pediatric critical-care units

• Must meet the facility's 100+ mile traveler requirement

• Nursing degree from an accredited program
