Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:

  • Utilize the nursing process in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Provide, assist, and supervise direct nursing care to patients, in accordance with physicians' orders.
  • Recognize nursing techniques, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate’s degree or higher.
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
  • Current BLS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • One or more years of experience as a Level III NICU RN.
  • Current National Neonatal High-Risk Nursing and STABLE certifications preferred.

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is a 204-bed facility in Palm Beach County. We offer preventative and elective programs and surgeries. We are an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Primary Stroke Center. HCA Florida Palms West Hospital has emergency services, a dedicated New Life Center and a Level II NICU. We have a full-service Children’s Hospital. Services include outpatient rehabilitation, an aquatics center, orthopedic spine center, robotics, and interventional radiology.
