REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - NICU LEVEL IV | FULL-TIME JOB OVERVIEW

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The RN will provide specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns, collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and support families throughout the neonatal care journey.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Minimum one (1) year of recent NICU experience as a Registered Nurse required
  • Level IV NICU experience strongly preferred
  • Clinical rotations and nurse residency experience do not count toward the required experience
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and clinical assessment skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for neonatal patients
  • Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
  • Administer medications and therapies according to physician orders
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Support patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers throughout the care process
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education activities
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • Minimum one full year of post-graduate NICU experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in a Level IV NICU environment
  • Demonstrated ability to care for critically ill neonates
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
