Duties

• Assessment Skills: Deliver patient care across all stages of growth, performing comprehensive and accurate assessments.
• Clinical Skills: Demonstrate competent clinical skills through direct patient care and emergency procedures.
• Documentation: Maintain complete and accurate documentation, taking primary responsibility for patient charts.
• Professionalism: Exhibit professional responsibility and identify areas for clinical and professional growth.
• Patient Satisfaction: Respond professionally to patients and families, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Safety: Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, using safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Unit-Specific Functions: Tailor patient care based on surgical procedures and anesthesia types.
• Responsibility and Accountability: Prioritize and direct patient care based on needs and condition changes.
• Patient Education and Chart Completion: Engage patients and families in pre-operative and postoperative education.
• Duties Specific to PAT RN: Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders.

• RNC-NIC - Preferred
