Position Overview

Travel RN needed for the Oncology Unit (6E) at Christiana Hospital. This assignment supports an Epic training project, with travelers providing direct patient care while permanent staff attend Epic training sessions.

Requirements

  • Active Delaware RN License or Compact RN License (required at submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Oncology RN experience (no exceptions)
  • Recent Epic experience required
  • RN license number and expiration date required
  • List of certifications with expiration dates required
  • Full SSN, DOB, and address required for submission
  • Maximum 3 days RTO (must be disclosed at submission)
  • No additional RTO requests after submission
  • No block scheduling

  • Beds: 41–50
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Patient Population & Treatments

Common diagnoses and treatments include:

  • Oncology/Cancer patients
  • Chemotherapy
  • Stem Cell Transplant
  • CAR-T Therapy
  • Lutathera Treatment

Special procedures:

  • Bone Marrow Biopsy
  • Transplant Care
  • CAR-T Therapy Administration

Scheduling Requirements

  • Every 3rd weekend required
  • Holiday rotation required
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week

Important Facility Policies

  • Travel RNs are not permitted to pick up overtime shifts
  • Incidental overtime is not approved
  • Meal breaks are mandatory and must be taken as scheduled
  • Travelers involved in codes, rapid responses, or significant events near shift change are expected to provide timely handoff and transition care appropriately
