Job Title: RN – Operating Room (OR)
Location: Watertown, New York – 13601
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Start Date: 04/13/2026 – 07/15/2026
Shift Details:
Day Shift: 5 × 8 hours
Timing: 07:30 AM – 04:00 PM
Guaranteed: 40 hours per week
On-call required (30-minute response time)
Job Description:
Minimum 2 years of RN – Operating Room experience required
Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced OR/ASU setting
Maintain a safe and aseptic surgical environment
Assess patient needs (clinical, educational, and emotional)
Assist with surgical procedures and ensure proper use of clinical equipment
May be required to assume charge nurse responsibilities
Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Active NYS RN License or eligibility
Successful completion of required OR competency exam
BLS (AHA) Certification – Required
ACLS (AHA) Certification – Preferred
Minimum 1 year medical/surgical experience preferred
Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize effectively
Knowledge of OR instrumentation and patient safety protocols
Ability to recognize safety risks and safely assist in patient handling
Must comply with 100-mile radius rule.
