RN - Operating Room

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR Circulator) to provide perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will function as the circulator during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, sterile technique compliance, and coordination of care throughout the perioperative process.

Schedule

• Variable shift

• 4 x 10-hour shifts

• Typical start time 0630 (flexibility required)

• Call may be required

Responsibilities

• Serve as the circulating nurse for a variety of surgical procedures

• Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and surgical time-outs

• Maintain sterile field integrity and enforce surgical safety protocols

• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, scrub techs, and support staff

• Document intraoperative care in EMR

• Monitor patient status and respond to changes appropriately

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active California RN license

• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room experience

• Circulating experience required

• BLS required

• ACLS preferred

• Ability to take call and work flexible scheduling

• Strong surgical workflow knowledge

• Comfortable with multiple service lines (General, Ortho, GYN, etc.)

• Team-oriented and adaptable

• Experience in community hospital OR setting preferred
