RN - OR - Days

Our client is currently seeking a RN – OR – Days

Total Gross Pay: $2,362.00/week

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver patient care in the Operating Room
• Prepare patients for surgical procedures and assist during surgery
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members
• Delegate tasks and support ancillary staff appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure confidentiality
• Promote patient safety and comply with all regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery
• Participate in quality improvement and departmental initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education and/or Certification Requirement:

• Required: RN Diploma
• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Current RN License (Louisiana or compact)
• BLS (AHA) required
• ACLS preferred (not required per facility note)

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum 2+ years of OR (Operating Room) experience
• Experience in General Surgery strongly preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Management Requirement:

• Ability to delegate tasks and support team workflow
• Demonstrates leadership within the interdisciplinary care team

Process Oversight Requirement:

• Ensures compliance with Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and facility policies
• Maintains patient safety, privacy, and quality standards
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives

Specific Skills Requirement:

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make sound clinical judgments
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Basic computer proficiency

Additional Requirements:

• Must live outside 65-mile radius
