Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure a safe, sterile, and efficient operating room environment while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Current BLS certification required.
ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred or required per facility policy.
Recent Operating Room nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care.
Prepare the operating room, equipment, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during surgical procedures.
Monitor patient status throughout the perioperative process and respond to changes in condition.
Administer medications, treatments, and documentation in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient safety and positive surgical outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
Adhere to patient safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
