LONG-TERM CARE NURSE RN or LPN
Reports to: Director of Nursing
Location: Heartland Care Center
ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: 6am-6pm, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend, every other holiday.

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Long Term Care Nurse provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.
Education: Required: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse License/Registration/Certification: Required: Current Iowa RN or LPN license
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Highly developed problem-solving skills • Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions • Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong project management skills needed • Ability to learn and use various community programs
