Has responsibility for total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of assigned patients. Plans, provides, and documents discharge planning, teaching and education of patients, family or others to attain optimal health and continuity of care.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Current LVN or RN license with the State of Texas. One year as a professional RN preferred. Current CPR certification, ACLS and PALS preferred. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to stand and/or walk for moderate periods of time. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting may be required in the event a patient becomes weak or helpless.
