Job Description:
Location: 550 Harrison Syracuse NY One-Day Surgery Center
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room RN to join our dedicated outpatient surgery team. They will provide safe high-quality intraoperative nursing care to both pediatric 6 months and adult patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care in the OR.
- Prepare the operating room ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and readily available.
- Monitor patients throughout their surgical procedures and facilitate smooth transitions to the recovery phase.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader surgical team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN License in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience.
- Proven clinical competency with pediatric patients (6 months) and adults.
- Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in General, Urology, Ophthalmology, and GYN specialties.
- Previous outpatient or ambulatory surgery center experience.
Schedule Details:
- Hours: 80 hours biweekly
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
- On-Call: None
- Weekends & Holidays: None
