Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Orange, CA 92868
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP / 06/30/2026
Shift: Day Shift | 5x8s
Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | 40 Hours Per Week
On-Call: Required
Weekend Requirement: Rotating Weekends

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week assignment in Orange, California. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong perioperative experience and expertise in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgical procedures.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license required.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience required.

  • Experience in Orthopedic Surgery required.

  • Experience in Neuro Surgery required.

  • Experience in Robotics preferred (candidates with 2 of the 3 specialties may be considered).

  • Current BLS certification required.

  • Current ACLS certification required.

  • CNOR certification preferred.

  • Strong perioperative nursing and circulating experience.

  • Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.

  • First-time travelers may be considered with 5+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

  • Circulate surgical cases while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety standards.

  • Assist surgical teams during orthopedic, neuro, and robotic procedures.

  • Monitor patient condition throughout operative procedures and respond to clinical changes.

  • Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and necessary equipment.

  • Complete accurate surgical documentation using Epic.

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.

  • Participate in required call rotation and weekend coverage.

  • Support efficient operating room workflow and patient throughput.

Call Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 call shifts per 6-week schedule.

  • 1 weekend call shift required.

  • Weekday post-shift call: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM.

  • Weekend call options:

    • 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

    • 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
