Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5:30pm
Location: Poughkeepsie, NY
Job Type: Local Contract
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Range: 40-46/hr
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Duties:

• Clinical phone triage and assessment of patient symptoms, concerns, and treatment-related questions.
• Patient education regarding pain management procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
• Scheduling all pain management procedures and follow-up appointments, including entering procedure orders as needed.
• Managing and responding to patient In-Basket messages for the clinical support pool.
• Coordinating and documenting follow-up care for medial branch blocks and other pain management procedures.
• Obtaining, tracking, and documenting antiplatelet/anticoagulant clearances prior to procedures.
• Assisting with coordination of spinal cord stimulator trials and other advanced pain management treatments.
• Scheduling office-based injections and collaborating with authorization staff to ensure required approvals are obtained.

Requirements:

• License(s): RN
• Certification(s): BLS
• Years of experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in Pain Management, Interventional Pain, Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Surgery, or another outpatient clinical setting
• Skills/Specialties/Technology:
• Experience with patient triage, care coordination, and clinical documentation.
• Prior Pain Management or Interventional Pain experienc- preferred
• Experience obtaining procedure authorizations and coordinating specialty procedures- preferred
