RN - Outpatient Surgery (Pre/Post Op) - Part Time Day Santa Rosa, California Full Time Work Schedule: Part-Time, 8-hour day shifts Work Setting: Outpatient Surgery / Surgical Services The RN – Outpatient Surgery (Pre/Post Op) will provide nursing care to patients receiving outpatient surgical services, with a focus on pre-operative and post-operative care. The RN will support patients throughout the surgical care process and provide safe, effective nursing care in accordance with applicable clinical standards. The position requires recent experience in Outpatient Surgery and Phase 1 recovery nursing, particularly within an acute care hospital setting. Key Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures.
Support patients through pre-operative and post-operative phases of care.
Provide Phase 1 recovery nursing care as applicable.
Assess patients and monitor their clinical condition before and after procedures.
Provide appropriate nursing interventions and patient monitoring.
Support safe transitions through the outpatient surgical care process.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the surgical care team.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Follow applicable nursing, patient-safety, and surgical-services standards.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
California Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Provider ACLS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Provider PALS – American Heart Association upon hire.
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
Minimum 1 year of Outpatient Surgery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Minimum 1 year of recent Phase 1 recovery RN work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Depending on the surgical-services setting, preferred certifications include:
CNOR
ACLS
TNCC
IVPS – Surgical Services
IVPS – Ambulatory Surgery Center
CPAN – PACU/Hospital Acute Care
TCAR – PACU/Hospital Acute Care
