Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU
Job Location: Salinas, CA
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days | 5×8-Hour Shifts | 40 Hours/Week
Local Pay: Up to $75/ hour on W2
Travel pay: Up to $3260/ Weekly

Job Description:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor airway, hemodynamic status, pain, and recovery progress.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and pain management therapies as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and neurological status.
• Identify and respond to post-operative complications and emergency situations.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe patient recovery.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and discharge instructions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in Epic EMR.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.

Required Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU Registered Nurse experience.
• Experience caring for post-anesthesia and post-operative patients.
• Experience with airway management, pain management, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and recovery assessments.
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Epic EMR experience required (6–12 months within the past year).
