The Opportunity
Work as part of a Resource Float Pool supporting adult inpatient units across two campuses.
Float throughout Med-Surg, PCU, IMC, and Observation units based on hospital needs.
PCU travelers may occasionally float to ED or PACU to care for adult-health patients awaiting inpatient beds.
BUMC-Tucson is a Level I Trauma, 625-bed hospital.
BUMC-South is a Level III Trauma, 245-bed hospital, approximately 10 minutes from the Tucson campus.
Requirements
Recent PCU experience
Level I Trauma experience — REQUIRED
Large hospital experience — REQUIRED
Must be comfortable floating across multiple adult inpatient units
Navy scrubs required; navy warm-up jacket permitted.
Important: This is not a standard PCU assignment. The traveler needs to be comfortable being a float-pool RN and potentially working Med-Surg, PCU, IMC, Observation, and occasionally ED/PACU.
