Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate:
Local Pay: $65/hr – $70/hr ((Based on Experience))
Traveler Pay: $2,400/week – $2,600/week (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse – Pediatric Ambulatory Care to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient pediatric setting. The ideal candidate will have recent pediatric outpatient experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care and perform patient assessments in an outpatient pediatric setting.
Administer immunizations, perform hearing and vision screenings, TB placement and reading, straight catheterization, ear flushing, and other nursing procedures as needed.
Accurately document patient care using the EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Educate patients and families while maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-focused clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
Current BLS (AHA) certification.
Minimum 1.5 years of recent nursing experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and level.
Required: Outpatient pediatric nursing experience.
Preferred experience with immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, TB placement and reading, Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, straight catheterization, and ear flushing.
Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred.
Excellent communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
