Shift & Schedule : Night Shift | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (19:00–07:00) | 3x12 Hours | 36 hours/week

Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and some holidays
Pay Rate: Local: $70 - $75/hr | Traveler: $72 - $77/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide quality nursing care to child and adolescent psychiatric patients in an acute care setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN Registration required

• Current BLS Certification required; must be able to be recertified

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience within the past 2 years in an acute care facility of similar size and level

• Inpatient experience with both adult and adolescent patients

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred

• Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Professional license/certification must not have been suspended or investigated

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in an acute care setting with minimal orientation and supervision

• Perform the majority of required patient care skills within the specialty

• Conduct thorough nursing assessments appropriate to the acute care setting

• Provide care for child and adolescent psychiatric patients

• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Maintain patient safety and follow hospital policies and procedures

• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical documentation and patient records

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned within the scope of practice
