About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Pediatric ICU Nurse Manager (RN) to lead our dedicated PICU team at McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience or PICU background to step into a leadership role and make a direct impact on patient care, staff development, and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
As a Nurse Manager – PICU , you will:
+ Lead, mentor, and support a team of registered nurses and clinical staff in a pediatric intensive care setting.
+ Foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-centered work environment.
+ Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and accreditation requirements.
+ Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives and patient safety strategies.
+ Support staff education, clinical growth, and professional development.
+ Manage department operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
+ Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding pediatric care.
Qualifications
+ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license .
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
+ Minimum 3 years of RN experience ; ICU/PICU RN leadership experience strongly preferred.
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
+ National specialty certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 years).
+ Experience managing staff in an acute care or pediatric critical care environment.

Qualification
+ A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is needed for this role.
