Job Title: RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Location: Oakland, CA 94611
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in pediatric patient conditions.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products as ordered.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
- Educate and support patients' families throughout the course of treatment.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California).
- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
- Critical care nursing experience.
- Strong pediatric assessment and emergency response skills.
Preferences:
- Maternal Child Health nursing experience.
- Experience in a high-acuity pediatric critical care setting.
