We're hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide 1:1 care for a teenager at home and during the school day.

Instead of managing a large patient assignment, you'll have the opportunity to focus your skills and attention on ONE patient while building a trusted relationship with the patient and family.

Choose the Schedule That Works for You

School-Day Shifts:
• Tuesday & Thursday
• 6:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Begin the shift in the patient's home
• Assist with morning care
• Attend school with your patient
• Provide 1:1 nursing support throughout the school day

Overnight Shifts:
• Flexible overnight opportunities available
• Great option for nurses looking to supplement their current schedule

What You'll Do

Depending on the shifts you choose, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 skilled nursing care for a teenager
• Assisting with morning care
• Attending school with your patient
• Supporting your patient's needs throughout the school day
• Providing overnight monitoring and skilled nursing care
• Monitoring your patient's condition and vital signs
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Providing case-specific skilled nursing care
• Communicating with the family and Castor clinical team
• Completing real-time nursing documentation

What You'll Need

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Dependable and compassionate approach to care
• Interest in providing one-on-one pediatric nursing care

Previous private duty nursing experience isn't required. Castor provides paid, hands-on training in trachs, vents, G/J tubes, and other case-specific skills so you feel confident and supported before working independently.
