We are searching for an experienced Pediatric/Neonatal Registered nurse to join our Pediatric Transport team in a full-time, mixed shift position. 

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pediatric Transport RN practices in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines established for the pediatric transport team, identifying, planning and implementing emergency care for acutely ill pediatric patients in collaboration with the medical control officer. 

What you will do in this roll: 

  • Provide family centered care, psychosocial support and education for patients and families
  • Represent the children’s hospital to healthcare professionals in referring hospitals through effective communication, informal teaching and planned educational opportunities
  • Initiate and participate in educational, research, professional and organizational activities that contribute to improving patient care, program development and personal professional growth.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, assessment, and appropriate interventions in transit.
  • Accurately document delivery of care and transfer care of the patient to the receiving hospital staff

What qualifications you will need:

  • ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
  • BSLC must be obtained within 30 days
  • ADN or BSN in Nursing with clear and active GA or compact state nuring license
  • Previous Pediatric, Neonatal or Transport nursing experience required
