Job Title: RN - Peds Oncology

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to pediatric patients with cancer and other complex hematologic or oncologic conditions. Monitors patients closely, administers treatments, manages symptoms and complications, and works with the multidisciplinary team to support safe and comprehensive care.

Education & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.

• 1–2 years of pediatric oncology, pediatric, or acute care nursing experience preferred.

• Experience caring for patients receiving chemotherapy or complex oncology treatments is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• BLS certification required.

• PALS certification required.

• Pediatric oncology or chemotherapy certification/training preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and continuously monitor pediatric oncology patients for changes in condition, treatment response, and complications.

• Administer medications, chemotherapy, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments according to established protocols.

• Monitor for treatment-related side effects, infection, bleeding, and other complications and respond appropriately.

• Provide symptom management and supportive care while maintaining patient safety.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, precautions, and home care.

• Collaborate with physicians, oncology specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, safety, and oncology care standards.
