RN - Prep / PARU

Must be available to work a flexible schedule, 20 - 31 hours per week. Employees self-schedule.

No weekends, holidays, or call!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform age-specific assessment and intervention for surgical patient during pre-operative and post-operative phase and provide post-operative/discharge instruction prior to discharge.
• Implement emergency procedures as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and controlled substances logs.
• Initiate physicians' orders.
• Assist with anesthesia procedures in pre-op.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA standards for healthcare facilities.
• Participate in educational opportunities for professional growth and development.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• 1 year general nursing experience, orthopaedics helpful
• 1 year experience PARU nursing or ICU experience
• Experience with IV starts helpful
• Excellent communication skills
• BCLS certified
