RN Pulmonary

A Registered Nurse is sought for a Pulmonary unit in Gainesville, FL at a 523-bed acute care hospital that is Joint Commission accredited, certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, holds an Accredited Chest Pain Center designation by the American College of Cardiology, and is designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

The role. Working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model, the RN collects comprehensive assessment data to analyze patient health status and determine diagnoses or clinical issues, then develops individualized care plans with expected outcomes tailored to each patient's situation. The nurse advocates for patient safety as an active participant in the interdisciplinary team and ensures effective use of time, supplies, and equipment throughout the care episode. A meaningful component of this role is patient and family education — covering medications, procedures, and treatments — providing support and guidance throughout the hospital stay.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of RN experience required (open to any setting, including LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required; compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
