Job Summary and Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Care of the Patient:
  • Performs complete physical assessment on all patients, using knowledge based on growth/development and age, including thorough history and documents in EMR.
  • Adult - Assesses response to treatment/interventions by verbal response and physical changes and documents in EMR.
  • Geriatric - Recognizes changes in physical condition and documents in EMR, assesses cognitive and physical limitations (dementia, hard of hearing, immobility) to determine appropriate intervention, Incorporates knowledge of chronic conditions with current medical status and age.
  • Demonstrates the ability to accurately assess and document patient status in accordance with unit standards.
  • Documents lab results in EMR as acquired.

Job RequirementsRequired

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire and
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days

Preferred

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
