RN – Recovery Room (PACU)

Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Flex | 8 Hours/Day
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 5×8 Hours | 40 Hours/Week
Shift Times: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM or 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, rotating
Local Candidates: Not Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate: $57–$62/hr

Weekend/Holiday: No Weekends | No Holidays
On-Call: No

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

• Current Massachusetts RN License

• BLS certification required

• ACLS certification required

• PALS certification required

• Successful completion of Pharmacology exam

• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Program or challenge exam

• Strong English communication skills

• IV start experience required

• Hemodynamic monitoring experience required

• Ventilator care experience required

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience within the last 5 years in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, SDC, or PACU

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN preferred

• Recent SDC or PACU experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process

• Assess and document patients' physical, psychological, and social needs

• Develop and implement appropriate plans of care

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses

• Perform and assist with IV starts and nursing interventions

• Provide hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator care as required

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

• Communicate patient conditions and changes with physicians and healthcare teams

• Direct and guide ancillary staff as required

• Use computerized nursing information systems effectively

• Support patient care, staff orientation, and education

• Perform charge nurse responsibilities when assigned

• Participate in quality improvement activities

• Attend required meetings and mandatory education programs

• Maintain professional knowledge and required competencies

• Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and regulatory policies

• Maintain patient confidentiality

• Provide professional and compassionate service to patients, families, and staff

• Perform other nursing duties as assigned
