    Description

    Job Title: RN Med Surg
    Location: Albany, GA (On Site)
    Duration: 17 Weeks
    Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM | Every Other Weekend

    Required Skills & Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg nursing experience.
    • At least 1 prior travel assignment required (No first-time travelers).
    Required Certification & Licensure:
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License.
    • BLS Certification (Required).
    • NIHSS Certification (Required).
    • ACLS Certification (Preferred).
    Job Description:
    RN Med Surg travel assignment at a 483-bed acute care hospital. The nurse will provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-volume environment with high patient acuity and frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers.
    Responsibilities:
    • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
    • Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
    • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
    • Provide wound care and post-operative nursing care.
    • Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, dialysis nurses, and interdisciplinary teams.
    • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
    • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
    • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection prevention guidelines.
    • Float to other acute care and cardiac units as needed based on patient care requirements.
    • Participate in bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
