75 mile radius from the travelers driver's license to the facility. Must provide this information at time of submit.
Experience: 1 year experience required with 1 travel assignment
" Unit Oncology-7th floor and outpatient, travelers will only work on floor
" # beds 29 beds
" Certs BLS, prefer NIHSS, ONS if want to do chemo-2 years of experience required in specialty, no first-time travelers
" Ratios 1:5, on occasion 1:6
" EMR Meditech
" Charge Nurse Charge Nurse out of the staffing grid, unless unusual circumstances.
" Nurse Aides Yes, generally 3 per day
" Shifts 6:45-7:15
" Weekend Requirement Every other weekend
" Holidays- Rotate in w/ staff
" Scrub Color- Carribean Blue
" Tele Yes, central monitor, not a requirement to read strips
" Floating - Rarely, to medical acute
" Floor specific orientation- 3 days
" Common diagnosis / Types of patient s - Acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology, medical overflow, oncology, end of life care
" Additional Notes- Outpatient area patients-- will come to floor and finish treatment if running late and outpatient area closes
