need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked

***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PLEASE NOTE IT S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS (TEST A SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FIRST AND IF NOT PASSED, TEST B SHOULD BE ASSIGNED FOR THE RETAKE). A SCREENSHOT SHOWING THE NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS IS ALSO REQUIRED.
If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and Sac

For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years). Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation. **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**

SACRAMENTO'S FACILITY-WIDE ORIENTATION IS HELD THE FIRST WEEK IN SACRAMENTO AND NOT GRASS VALLEY WHERE THE HOSPITAL IS LOCATED!

- Unit: MedSurg 2 North -WILL FLOAT TO TELE
- # beds: 38 beds. 8 are Tele beds.
- Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Ratios: 1:5'
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.
- Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
-Drips: be competent in at least Amiodarone and Diltiazem drips.
- Vents: No
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, Hospitalist or Intensivist
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside. OT and extra shifts are available. Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it. Schedules are out 4 weeks. Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves "available" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff. Block scheduling is generally not available.
- Floating: Will float to tele
- Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients, post op general and ortho patients.
- Additional Notes: Very fast paced unit. 2 hallway layout.
