RN/Registered Nurse - Outpatient Pain Management

The Essentials Schedule: Monday - Friday | Full-Time 36 hours per weekLocation: Independence, OH & Fairlawn, OHSpecialty: Pain ManagementTravel: Occasional travel between Clinic locations What You'll Do Provide direct patient care and perform comprehensive nursing assessments.Administer medications, treatments, and injectable therapies as ordered, and assist with wound care, dressing changes, suture removal, drain care, and postoperative assessments.Support physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations, injections, and minor office procedures by maintaining sterile technique, monitoring patient status, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.Prepare examination and procedure rooms, verify patient information and consents, provide pre-procedure education, and accurately document assessments, procedures, and treatments in the electronic medical record.Triages patient phone calls, escalates clinical concerns as appropriate, assists with inventory and medication management, and participates in quality improvement and competency initiatives.Provide discharge instructions, follow-up education, and care coordination while collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience. What We're Looking For Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required.Experience: Previous nursing experience in an outpatient clinic, pain management, plastics, orthopedics, or other procedure-based healthcare setting preferred.Skills: Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills with demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to patient safety. Knowledge of infection prevention practices, medication administration, and outpatient procedural support. Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills. Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required. BLS certification required within 1 month of hire. ACLS certification preferred.
