Supervises, coordinates, and provides leadership while directing activities of associates.
Responsibilities:
Assesses daily patient access needs and ensures that appropriate patient care is provided. Provides oversight involving all aspects of nursing department operations.
Delivers quality patient care and ensures implementation of clinical objectives.
Delegates appropriate duties to clinical staff based on their assessed skills and abilities, maintaining proficiencies related to job functions and processes through ongoing monitoring of daily operations.
Collaborates with department leadership to ensure processes are up to date and followed.
Participates with ongoing quality initiatives, auditing projects and development of plans for improvement.
Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s):
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Preferred Credential(s):
BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
Required professional licensure/certification.
AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
