    UW Medical Center-Montlake – has an outstanding opportunity for a  Registered Nurse for our Pre Anesthesia / Pre Surgery Department .

    WORK SCHEDULE

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    Our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic RNs provide a complete assessment of the patient and address medical issues to reduce the risk of complications of anesthesia during surgery.  Pre-op teaching is also part of the patient visit.  The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic will complete assessments for 60+ patients/day which is done as a clinic visit, phone interview or a chart review. Nurses receive in depth specialty training to perform a complete pre-anesthesia evaluation

    .POSITION HIGHLINGTS

      Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients

      Care planning

      Patient teaching

      Discharge and transfer planning

      Admission, discharge and transfer processes

    REQUIREMENTS

      2 years current recent Critical Care experience, Emergency or PACU Phase I and/or Phase II

      PACU experience preferred.

    Active Washington State RN License or applicable Multistate RN license

    Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

    Pay Range Minimum:

    $46.97 hourly

    Pay Range Maximum:

    $86.17 hourly

    Other Compensation:

    $5.00/hr nights $4.00/hr weekends $3.00/hr evenings $1.25/hr Nursing Certification $1.00/hr BSN Premium
