Job Desc

Location: The nurse will provide onsite services at the Sunnyvale, CA site. 

Hours: 4/10 hour days (Tuesday-Friday 9:00am-7:30pm)

Description of Nurse 3 Duties:

·       Respond to emergencies and administer first aid to employees for job related illnesses and injuries.  

·       Deliver OSHA and job/site/contract required surveillance program services (i.e. hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) to the employee population in collaboration with Environmental Health and Safety.  Note: most of these services are performed offsite by an outside clinic, but the nurse will be responsible for scheduling, obtaining and reviewing all results from the clinic.   

·       Maintain accurate recordkeeping in electronic medical records system (Cority) in compliance with OSHA requirements.

·       Dispense OTC Medications.

·       Maintain compliance with laws, regulations and standards governing occupational health and safety for employees and the workplace. 

Required Basic Qualifications:

·       At least 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse with Associate of Science in Nursing

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation

·       Strong presentation skills

·       Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects

·       Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously

·       Ability to maintain confidential documents and information

·       Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines

·       Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations

Required certifications:

·       CPR/BLS

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

·       2+ years in occupational health

Preferred Certifications:

·       Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)

·       Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
