RN Renal Vascular

A Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in the Renal Vascular unit is open in Gainesville, FL at a 523-bed acute care hospital that is Joint Commission accredited, certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, and designated as a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

The role. Working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model, the RN in this unit conducts comprehensive patient assessments, analyzes findings to determine diagnoses or issues, and develops individualized care plans with clearly defined expected outcomes. The nurse serves as an advocate for patient safety and for the patient's needs within the interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective use of time, supplies, and equipment throughout the care continuum. A meaningful part of the role involves educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments, and providing consistent support throughout their hospital stay.

What we're looking for.

• 1 year of RN experience required (open to any setting, including LTAC, Home Health, etc.)
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
• BLS (AHA Healthcare provider) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Schedule. Full-time, 12-hour shifts available on days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) or nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
