Local: $60.00 - $63.00/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized newborn care in a Level II Special Care Nursery/NICU, including care for higher-acuity infants 32 weeks gestation and above and stabilization of infants less than 32 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Active NJ RN or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification
• NRP certification
• ASN required
• Minimum 3+ years of Mother-Baby experience with newborn care
• At least 1 year of Level II Special Care Nursery experience
• Experience caring for infants 32 weeks gestation and above
• Competency managing higher-acuity infants 32 weeks and above
• Competency stabilizing infants less than 32 weeks
• Strong neonatal assessment and clinical judgment
• English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Level II Special Care Nursery/NICU
• Perform initial and ongoing newborn assessments
• Develop individualized plans of care
• Provide care to higher-acuity infants
• Stabilize infants less than 32 weeks as clinically required
• Document patient care accurately
• Support evidence-based nursing practices
• Provide patient- and family-centered care
• Float to postpartum when required to care for newborns
• Follow nursing, safety, infection-control, and facility standards
