Specialty Float Pool differential $4.25 per hour

Up to $24000.00 Sign on Bonus

Staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care, assesses patient needs, develops and implements care plans, and supervises other healthcare staff. They administer medications, monitor patient health, educate patients and families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. RNs also document patient care, adhere to nursing regulations, and ensure patient safety.

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current NYS RN license.
  • BLS required. ACLS required or obtained within 3 months.
  • PALS required with within 3 months of hire, IV and IV contrast administration certification required.
  • Coronary care course or successful completion or challenge exam within orientation period.
  • Basic fetal monitoring course completion within orientation period or certificate of recent proof of completion.
  • 2 years recent (within 2 years) experience in critical care (ICU, PCU, Telemetry or Emergency Department.
  • 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery Preferred.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principals, ability to provide quality patient care and assess patient's needs.
  • Must be able to recognize safety issues to self and others.
  • Demonstrate the use of lifts to move patients ina a safe manner.
  • Must be flexible and able to function well in stressful situations.
  • Ability to demonsatrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • May be required to assume duties as a Charge Nurse.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to prioritize and delegate. Excellent interpersonal organizational, Written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Required to float to Emergency, ICU, PCU, Labor and Deliver and med surg.
