Our 14-bed level III labor and delivery unit meets the need for a variety of obstetrical conditions, including a large population of high-risk diagnoses. The RN staff nurse will provide care for patients in labor, Cesarean sections and antenatal patients with maternal/fetal complications. Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; maternal assessments and plans of care, continual fetal assessment and monitoring, administration of induction and uterine tocolytic, physician assistance with analgesia and\or anesthesia, assessment of the laboring patient and assisting with scrub and circulating responsibilities as necessary. Our RNs will initiate fetal monitoring and continually assess the fetal status. Support staff provided on this unit include Scrub Tech to assist with scrubresponsibilities. Back-up call is required for this position. Our staff are required to obtain the Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification, ACLS, Stroke Certification and attend the Maternal Child course, along with basic and intermediate fetal monitoring classes. Experienced staff is preferred, but we do welcome new graduates that demonstrate a willingness to learn, exceptional work ethic and a great attitude.
