Job Description
Job Title: RN - Stepdown
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 3 months Contract
Schedule: 7:00P - 7:30A + 4
th shift once in a month
Hourly rate: $58/ hour on W2 Negotiable
Core Responsibilities- Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centered nursing care
- Assess patients and develop/evaluate individualized care plans
- Manage and prioritize patient care using critical thinking
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge/transition needs
- Perform purposeful hourly rounding and patient safety checks
- Administer medications and monitor high-risk patients
- Recognize and escalate clinical/safety concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in EPIC
- Support quality improvement, patient safety, and evidence-based practice
- Facilitate patient throughput and resource management
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned
Key Requirements- BSN required
- Active NYS RN License required
- BLS required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Minimum 2 years direct Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience — REQUIRED
- Ventilator experience — REQUIRED
- 2 years cardiology/telemetry/VAD experience
- EPIC experience
