    Position Summary

    The RN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department to ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care. This leadership role supports nursing staff, promotes regulatory compliance, and helps maintain clinical excellence in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

    The RN Supervisor serves as a key member of the leadership team, providing guidance and support to nursing personnel while ensuring continuity of care on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week basis.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and coordinate daily nursing operations and resident care activities.
    • Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff to ensure quality care and compliance with facility standards.
    • Monitor resident care services to ensure the highest levels of safety, quality, and satisfaction.
    • Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, and performance oversight of nursing personnel.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, residents, and families to support positive clinical outcomes.
    • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
    • Respond appropriately to resident, family, and staff concerns and support a culture of professionalism and teamwork.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or graduation from an approved Registered Nurse (RN) program.
    • Current, active, unrestricted, and unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and support nursing staff.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.

     

    Preferred

    • One (1) year of nursing management or supervisory experience in a long-term care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, hospital, or healthcare setting.
    • Knowledge of long-term care regulations and quality standards.
    • Experience leading teams in a resident-centered care environment.
