RN Supervisor (Night Shift) | Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital (1394)

Job Purpose:

• The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the nursing team during the third shift, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and procedures.
• Monitor patient care activities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare providers.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for nursing staff.
• Address any staffing issues, including scheduling and performance management, to maintain optimal staff levels and performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Respond to emergencies and provide leadership in crisis situations, ensuring appropriate interventions and support.
• Collaborate with management to implement quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient care services.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors by enforcing health and safety regulations.
