Required Qualifications:

• Current state RN license upon hire.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of Surgery experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASLS certification preferred.

Job Description:
6 Registered Nurse (RN's) needed - Surgery opportunity with our General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast.

Job Type is Full Time Days, in-person.

The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists per room to ensure optimal patient care and support. The OR team handles a wide array of specialties, including orthopedic and orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, podiatry, spine procedures, DaVinci robotic cases, trauma, and urology. Nurses working in this unit are required to maintain current certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS. The OR accommodates both inpatient and outpatient cases, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs, initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings, provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care, completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record, and develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient.
