RN - Telemetry

Pay Rate: $50 - $60 per hour
Shift: 7:00AM - 7:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research.
• Deliver patient care using the Relationship Centered Care model and nursing process.
• Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in care planning.
• Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, and planning for after hospital care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Manage assignments within the Modified Primary Nursing model.
• Role model Relationship Centered Care actions such as Admission Welcome and Bedside Shift Report.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Use evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care.
• Engage in service recovery for patients and family members with concerns.
• Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care.
• Implement process improvement strategies based on evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for quality improvement projects.
• Utilize institutional information technology for documentation.

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience.
• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• NYS RN License.
• BLS and ACLS Certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ventilators and EPIC systems.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with 1 year of travel experience for travel positions.
