Summary

This is a Contract or a Time limited position for a minimum of 13 weeks contract and extendable with notice. This position will pay $65.00 per hour with no benefits.

At Moffitt Cancer Center, our gastroenterologists use endoscopy to diagnose and treat noncancerous, precancerous and cancerous conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Our gastroenterologists have the experience necessary to treat complex and challenging cases as well as common diagnoses, and our individualized approach to treatment ensures that a one-of-a-kind plan is optimized for each patient's unique needs.

An endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure during which a gastroenterologist examines a patient's digestive tract.

Depending on a patient's diagnosis and the symptoms he or she is experiencing, our team might recommend any of the following endoscopic procedures:

  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) or upper endoscopy
  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographies (ERCP)

At Moffitt, all endoscopy based procedures are performed by experienced gastroenterologists who have specialized training in the field. Our gastroenterologists collaborate with the surgical oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and supportive care providers to ensure that each patient's unique needs are met. This multispecialty approach allows us to not only produce exceptional outcomes, but improve each patient's quality of life throughout treatment and recovery.
