The Trauma Nurse Specialist provides direct/indirect specialized, comprehensive care, emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and collaborative management strategies. Participates in clinical, educational, leadership, consultant, and research activities for trauma patients. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and standards of practice. Provides 24/7 support for nursing and targeted patient populations.

Required Education: Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)Preferred Education: Masters DegreeRequired Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in specialty. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to think globally and communicate a visionRequired Certifications and Licensures: Current Virginia or Multistate Nursing Registration. Specialty certification. Certification as a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse through BCEN or will obtain within six (6) months of hireSalary Range: $34.89-$54.08/hourly
