Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the on-site nursing team to ensure optimal patient care.
Manage unit operations to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to leadership.
Enforce infection control practices and safety protocols across the unit.
Develop and monitor care plans, adjusting based on patient progress and metrics.
Oversee staffing schedules, allocations, and performance to meet targets.
Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across the unit.
Ensure effective communication with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching and structured feedback.
Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and supply usage to optimize costs.
Support onboarding and training programs for new hires and current staff.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the unit.
Experience/Qualifications
Nursing license in state and RN unit management experience
Proven ability to lead on-site nursing teams and coordinate care
Strong knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Staffing management: scheduling, allocation, performance, and coaching
Experience in unit budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
Ability to monitor KPIs, generate reports, and drive improvements
Clinical care planning with outcome-driven adjustments based on metrics
Strong communication with physicians, patients, families, and team
Change agent for continuous quality improvement initiatives
Mentoring and development of nursing staff through structured feedback
